Framework, the company that makes modular laptops that are highly customizable, even after purchase, and easily repairable too, announced two new products this week. The first is puzzling, as it’s a desktop that sits in what’s called the Mini-ITX case. It’s competing in an aggressive space, so I’m not sure what the plans are there… but they’ve already sold out of the first batch. The exciting news is that they are working in the Laptop 12, a smaller 12″ laptop which they say will fit into the the budget price point. This will continue to push their name out in front of consumers, which they still need. I’m interested enough there to hang on for my next laptop purchase until later in the year.
