I’m loath to give in to promoting news items that have a semblance of being sponsored ads. Still, World Backup Day has been around for well over a decade, and yet one in five people have never backed up. The stats continue with 113 phones lost or stolen every minute, 29% of data loss cases are caused by accidents, and 10-20% of consumer PCs get malware in any given year. As a part of these stats, I’ve decided to include a refresher on my ideas of backups in the first segment this week, all about how I am approaching backups as we have evolved to need better data security in all of our lives.
