Microsoft is going on a diet, slashing some of the long-term things they figure are redundant. Last week, we talked about Skype giving way to Teams. This week, Remote Desktop in favor of Windows App… hey, I didn’t name it. But Publisher, wow, they are telling us all to leave it behind. Now, instead we should just make do and use Word, PowerPoint, or Designer, the last of which is part of their CoPilot software. There’s a whole list of substitution suggestions but none truly take on the flexibility of the original. I lament the loss of this app, as it was a great all-around app for those who wanted to dabble in desktop publishing.
