Last week a whirlwind of news regarding an empty folder after a recent Windows 11 patch came around, and some suggested the idea of deleting it. I skipped it, and was right to do so. This week Microsoft advised that this is part of a security fix, and people need to leave it alone. Further, if removed, they need to put it back. This brings it closer, but not to the point, of an ages old scam to delete a specifically named file from your computer, which turns out to be a much needed file. Take heed with any system where someone tells you to do something like deleting a file or folder, or if it’s existence is sign of something sinister. If need be, check with me before taking action.
