The United states Federal Communications Commission has been looking into Chinese companies which are operating against existing bans. We have already discussed Huawei, ZTE, and other companies that have been barred from doing business due to their potential to be used for nefarious purposes against the United States. This new effort will move forward to research if those requirements were somehow circumnavigated by following loopholes, using other shell corporations, and the like, to continue spying efforts. The good news is that most of these smaller names that might be threats, are unlikely to have grown large enough for most of us to be concerned.
The US Federal Communications Commission has launched what it describes as a “sweeping investigation” on Chinese companies already on its “Covered List,” including Huawei and ZTE.
