In my next segment, I’m going to cover an negative experience that I had this week with Amazon. It was recorded a few days ago, and there was an interesting development. It’s worth noting, going into that next segment, at the Amazon shareholder meeting this week, CEO Andy Jassy said that they hadn’t seen any meaningful average selling price increases yet. To that extent, they also haven’t seen any demand dropoff, but they have been stocking up on some items and making supply chain adjustments to be competitive in the market. That makes my own experience a bit more puzzling, and scary, had I not caught the issue in advance.
Andy Jassy says the retailer hasn’t seen a sales slump or any significant increase in price averages so far.
