I stay mostly out of the political fray, so this is merely reporting on numbers. It’s no secret that some items may be bumping prices, and blaming it on tariffs. One of the big ones is Microsoft, who announced the increase of their Xbox hardware by about 20%, and further announcing their games will start releasing at higher price points as well. Apple has indicated less of an impact is coming, and there’s all kinds of talk about who will post the tarriff amounts when you purchase, and who won’t, from Amazon to Walmart. There’s a push for many to buy now, but if you don’t need it, don’t buy just to avoid it. Increase your budget, look for other options, and weather the storm instead.
