Windows 10 has famously been announced as End Of Life, coming this October. Microsoft has held fast on that for a while now, and their solution for extension this time is new. They are offering up an Extended Security Updates (ESU) program for home users to pay $30 a year, and businesses an amount that is twice that, and will double each year until 2028. It appears that Microsoft 365 apps will have a similar option, but it’s time to start looking at the options. I had hoped for a Windows 12 for my primary system, for something better, but I didn’t get it. Recently I bit the bullet and invested some serious time into the Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrade, and will talk about that on this weeks show.
Windows 10 users have a little more room to breathe, following a rare end-of-support U-turn by Microsoft. Just not the one they’ve been hoping for.
