While this isn’t going to impact many people, it’s a sign of things to come. A printer company in the direct-to-garment world (and other specialties) where printers run $5000 and up, has been shipping with malware. Worse yet, the manufacturer support lines were advising that Windows Defender was simply in error. This brings me back to the 90’s when a very big software name, one that we are all familiar with today, had one of the biggest releases of malware. In this case, the manufacturer apparently discovered the issue and has since resolved, but we all need to take heed to the warnings of any anti-malware software that we have.
The malware was unintentionally spread through employee computers or servers.
