A new advertising campaign has arrived, and while it’s a grassroots effort, it’s built on the premise that you don’t need to follow the path towards Windows 11. End of 10 is built on the resistance to arbitrary requirements, disposal of perfectly good hardware, and the behemoth of Microsoft. Resistance usually comes in the form of very small groups, and this is no different… it’s a push towards Linux, which is about twice the install base of 2 years ago. The current number is about 4 1/2%, which is one of the highest stats we’ve seen yet from StatCounter. To be clear, there is a journey, an effort to undertake if you go in this direction. EndOf10.org is only listing a few locations in the US that are signed on to help, but it is an idea to consider.
Microsoft might be leaving those unsupported PCs behind, but not the Linux community.
