Last week, I talked of End Of 10, the effort to push people to Linux. LibreOffice joined up with them in this education effort, which is pushing the idea that there are alternatives to the Windows and Office stranglehold that has existed for years. Now, I will encourage anyone to look in this direction, but I will note that it’s not for the faint of heart. If you have someone who knows the path ahead, however, once your system is setup, and the transition is done, it is just as easy to work with and use for your tech needs. There are options, and it’ll be interesting to see how the coming year plays out in stats.
