The Chromebook has been a viable option for many people over recent years, looking for the basics, and avoiding Windows 11. The latest news is that it’s been confirmed that the Chrome OS and Android will be merged in together. As platforms that are already very similar, this won’t be that much to accomplish. This may be a game changer as nobody has yet to bridge the gap fully between the phone and laptop realm. I do have a Chromebook amongst my toys here, and enjoy it well, but keep coming back to my iPad. This merge might be enough to make me jump ship, though… time will tell.
We first heard back in November that Google could merge Chrome OS into Android. Now, an executive has publicly confirmed plans for a merger.
