I totally forgot that Microsoft was in the movie and streaming business. It’s been around for a while, but like many other ventures where Microsoft has been late to the game, it didn’t survive. Zune Music died off after the Zune didn’t make it. The Microsoft Phone was more than a day late, and offered little more than others. The good news is that they have figured out an exit strategy that leaves those with content an option of where to go, and the list of options is long. This is after many other companies who exited their streaming strategies have often left people high and dry, without refunds.
Microsoft isn’t offering any refunds. However, you’ll still be able to watch your previously purchased content and transfer it to other platforms like iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Google Play, and YouTube.
