A telling sign in the computer industry is when companies end support. Windows 10s end of life is listed as later this year. NVIDIA has announced they will provide support for their drivers until next October. This is a key indicator of the position of the company that makes many graphics cards, aka GPUs. It doesn’t mean, of course, that your computer will stop working, but it does reflect an end to updates that are frequently protective, or at least beneficial for performance. This is another sign to everyone to start thinking about your exit strategy from Windows 10, no matter how distasteful you may feel about it. Linux usage is jumping. Apple is definitely holding strong. Or at least you can look into Windows 11, if you want to give Microsoft one more chance.
It’s sooner than you think.
