Due to listeners, etc, I’m going to be careful with wording here. A senator from Missouri, Josh Hawley, announced he is starting an investigation into Meta over an internal document that revealed that Meta is OK with AI tools having inappropriate conversations with minors. Meta was contacted, and their response was chilling, advising they have clear policies against content essentially that would be delivered to adults. I won’t provide the exact text, but it conspicuously omitted any reference to the concern raised regarding safety to youth who shouldn’t be presented this information. We will be following this carefully, and reporting as well, as this situation evolves, and results come forward.
