TikTok fans can note that there is finally a preliminary deal that has been worked out between China, ByteDance, and the US.  It’s going to move to an American investor group, and this new approach will be valued at $14 Billion.  This has been an ongoing saga for a while, and it’s not fully complete, and the news this week was more of a permission by the US government to proceed with the proposal. Along the way, Oracle will take over security for the app, and it’s hinted that Larry Ellison, as well as a number of other big names, will all be involved. The finalization of this deal is still slated for early 2026, and could fall apart anytime before then, but it’s an increasingly optimistic situation for all who love the social media platform.

White House officials said earlier this week that TikTok reached a preliminary deal to sell its U.S. operations to an American-based investor group.
