TikTok just got another extension here in the United States to find a workable deal. Of course, there come reports that there are advances towards some kind of new ground, but details are not fully clear yet. This is amidst an ongoing argument on a number of fronts between China’s control of the app and spying there, while China is accusing Nvidia of violating anti-monopoly rules in their own country. This situation has stalled, been complicated, and played around with the expectations of people who want to see TikTok gone, and others who love the platform for their various reasons.
The Trump administration waxes optimistic about getting to a long-delayed resolution for TikTok in the US — just not yet.
