The saga of Apple vs Epic Games continues, as we might have expected.  This is like watching a boxing match play out in ultra-slow motion.  The core of the argument is over Apple’s decision to require anyone give over some 30% of any App Store-enabled transaction to them.  For Epic, the makers of Fortnite and many other famous games, this isn’t a small amount.  At the last point, a judge in California ruled that Apple’s App Store wasn’t playing by the spirit of previous decisions and spelled out remedies.  Apple, this week, returned to court, over the previous judge’s head to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and is claiming Constitutional protections against the contempt order, and others.  Apple is requesting the orders be vacated and that they get a new judge over this case.

Apple returned to court today seeking to overturn Judge Rogers’ injunctions in its ongoing legal battle with Epic Games.
