This week, Apple had a surprise update to the MacBook Pro with a brand new chip, the M5. It followed that up the next day with an M5 enabled iPad Pro, and the Vision Pro also upgraded to the M5. There’s a lot more to this, and we’ll spend some time on Keith’s segment. I wanted to spend a moment now to note that this is no different than anyone else’s computers these days. There will always be newer and faster, and greater specs. It’s time for us to realize that just because there’s more speed, if your tech is doing well and it’s healthy, there’s less of a concern for you to rush out and buy something just for a little more speed, unless you absolutely already know it. The world will always have faster computers in another year, and another one. Make sure that you’re not part of the buy-it hype cycle, but instead, adopt the mentality of doing it when you absolutely need it. Find an accountability partner that will encourage this.
