I saw a lot of clickbait this week about Twitter, that the Twitter domain was going to be retired. It’s really more of a move away from multiple options for multi-factor authentication, and X will be asking people to re-enroll their security keys with X.com instead of pointing to Twitter.com. This isn’t a security thing, or anything doom and gloom, as it’s been considered X for so long, even if we tend to hold onto the old name for nostalgia sake. They are sharing with everyone as to how to transition your Yubikey or other hardware or passkeys over to the new settings, so search and be prepared if you’re in the twitter… X sphere.
