Star Trek and LEGO’s are both fascinating for nerds and geeks.  This week, LEGO announced a galactic sized merging of the fanbases.  The Star Trek Next Generation Enterprise-D is now available as a 3600 piece set, complete with 9 minifigs representing key crew members.  There’s a lot to take in, but it includes much of what a fan might expect, including a couple of shuttles, and a separating saucer section.  At $400, this is a distinct fun option for either set of fans, for this coming holiday season.  This will be available right at Thanksgiving, a few weeks away, so make a note if you know someone who this would be perfect for.

It feels like I’ve been waiting 300 years for this 3,600-piece spaceship, the very first licensed Star Trek set that LEGO has ever produced.
