A week of Verizon news, where the end result was not so great for customers.  On one hand, they had a massive outage that lasted for as much as 12 hours for some 12 million customers, getting only the SOS service icon.  This impacted voice, text, and data services ofor many on the East Coast, but also showed up in other areas as well.  Verizon had even said that they didn’t know what caused the outage, which makes things worse.  It did happen to coincide with some lesser issues on AT&T and T-Mobile, which led many to wonder if it was an upstream issue, but it wasn’t clear.  Verizon is offering $20 credits, but there’s limited time, scant details, and it’s also not an automatic, but instead requiring you to go onto your app, and ask for the refund there.  Multiple government entities got involved, and there’s watchful eyes on what is the largest wireless provider.

Hurry and redeem what you’re owed.
