For people who have plenty of money to spend, but aren’t interested in the Apple-1, there is now a Wi-Fi-connected, camera-enabled toothbrush. Dyson, long one of the more premium brands for vacuum cleaners, now wants to be part of cleaning your mouth. Yes, it’s high-tech, but is it really something we need? AI systems, specialized pumping systems, and something called Gap Optical Targeting? I like tech and all of that, but Dyson isn’t even known for oral care. At $499 for this high-tech gizmo, and $15 apiece for replacement heads, I would get the old-fashioned low-tech version Oral-B, at $11 for 6, or about 272 without any kind of bulk discount. Am I turning into a cranky old fuddy-duddy?
