Finally complete after many years of discussion, but it’s almost anti-climactic. The merger brings them far closer to AT&T and Verizon in size. It also eliminates some competition, leaving consumers fewer choices.
T-Mobile and Sprint are even closer to a merger that means the new T-Mobile could pose a threat to Verizon and AT&T, and be better positioned to roll out 5G.
