An company in India took on some of the iPhone manufacturing processes, and the latest news is that 1/2 of the casings coming off the line are substandard. Now, this wouldn’t be good, but the company involved is Tata, India’s largest conglomerate, with major ties into all parts of the tech industry. This could be a major setback for them, as they wish to ramp up and be a full-service Apple supplier in the future, which would be a win for them. Apple, however, is also seeking to spread out and not keep all of their eggs in one basket, and this may make it even easier for them to decide to move to someone else.
