We’ve seen similar tests, but the biggest daddy of testing the Emergency Alert System is coming on Wednesday, October 4, around about 2:20pm Eastern Time. It will come across on our cellphones, radio, television, cable, satellite… everything. This is a routine test. Were there an actual emergency, you’d be instructed… OK, you have the idea. These tests are designed for reaching out at dire times, to alert us all. At least this time, they are ramping up the early notification about these tests. Oh, and in case there’s some major severe weather or other events, they’ll push it back to October 11.
